The best hit I have had in those games is 4k. I mean I understand RNG but that means some shots should miss and some shots should hit and you will have some better days and some worse days but not days where you might as well be throwing pebbles at the enemy ships. It just seems improbably uneven which is what lead to me making this thread in the first place. Not one good hit out of probably over 100 shots. I have just played 9 games in a row and I didn't do any decent damage in a single one. Is it over penetrating? I am using AP 98% of the time but I didn't think that would over penetrate a cruiser. Anyone have any ideas? This has happened to me over and over again since I got the Iowa. Providing those shots hit in my NC I would have expected to kill him in 1-2 salvos. It has now taken me over 2 minutes to fight this one cruiser and his teammates are all on the way. He has by this time unstuck himself, spun round but got stuck on another rock and again I have him full broadside at 6km out, fire all guns 4k dmg. I aim for the dead centre of his ship at the waterline, fire all guns, 3K dmg. He then spins around to try and escape but in the process gets himself stuck on a rock, so here is a stationary cruiser 7km out from me full broadside on. OK I think maybe that was just bad luck he is closer now so again full salvo of AP 4k dmg. Here is an example a few mins ago I had an Atago 8 km in front of me at less than 50% health so I line up my guns and shoot, 6 hits 1K dmg. However I am finding a lot of the shots I land are doing very little damage, it doesn't seem to make sense. I was hoping the Iowa would be the same but stronger as by the stats it has better guns. In my North Carolina I was doing reasonably well and getting a fair few citadels and generally doing a lot of damage. I got an Iowa a few days back now and have been playing a lot over the weekend.
